After obsessively thrashing her mothers record collection, at the age of 7 Renee was gifted the family record player to keep in her bedroom. Renee started her own vinyl collection with 'Pass the Dutchie' in 1982 and the rest is history...
Today going under the name of 'DJ One Black Bird' she spins a seamless blend of her collection of 70s Soul, Funk and Motown. 80s Pop and Trip Hop, 90s Acid Jazz and UK Electronica.
A One Black Bird set can be anything from soulful lounge music to the 80-est party you ever saw to slamming retro dance tracks.
